"The charm of a world"
it is the title of a series of emissions proposed by the
writer Cleopatra Lorintiu
interview carried out by Florenta Talmaciu in the newspaper "Ultima ora" (from
Romania)
director Ion Marin , February 6, 2001
"It is a lack of artistic documentary "
Declare Cleopatra Lorintiu
F Talmaciu: About which "world" you speak in your emission?
Cleopatra Lorintiu: They are... several worlds!
The world of surprising connections or the meetings meetings, the world interior
and attractive, magnetic, the world of the exceptionally personalities,
essential for the Romanian culture, the world of the memories, the memories not
revealed yet.
F.Talmaciu: We know that you falld in love with documentary. Is there a
relationship to the fact that you are a poet and novelist?
Cleopatra Lorintiu: Undoubtedly. I liked each film which I made, or for saying
differently, each emission was a possible book, a virtual book.
F.Talmaciu. Speak us please , about your plans for the future.
Cleopatra Lorintiu. The season
starts with "The Canadian diary ", two films
non conformist put under the sign of the "Camera Pen", as said
an important writer... The documentary one represents the newspaper full with surprises
from a travel made with research with a history with friendships in which you will
find the ballerina Margareta Zirra, Ileana Iliescu, the Canadian writer Guy
Pariseau, Christinne van Saanen, also of the new declarations of the large
choreographer Gabriel Popescu, as well as the memory of the Apostu sculptor who
was the friend of the Pariseau family.
You will see a history full with
tenderness and friendship, place, meetings, at the end of which the idea which
remainder is that the friendship is essential!
I hold have to thank with your newspaper and particularly have your director,
for your support during the last four years which, were particularly difficult
for me as director.
Florenta Talmaciu: You often evoke the concept of "camera pen”. Why?
Cleopatra Lorintiu: Because for both film ("Canadian Newspaper") it is me
which made turning, therefore I sign the scenario, the comments, the reading of
text and the image, I liked to do everything like a small film of author.
Florenta Talmaciu. And here is my last question: Each writer has his pride: to
see his books in the library. As a writer which makes television, what you could
dream?
Which is the pride of the tv producer? To bee seen on the tv screen?
Cleopatra Lorintiu: Non, at all! I do not want to be present myself. I want
to be testifies it, I want to accumulate information, words, memories, I would
like to have a "media library" full with the presences, testimonies of this
moment in which many the values are forgotten, destroyed or erased; without
minimizing the work of the others, me I believe that this kind of "marvellous
storage" can remain after us. The interminable discussions and the sterile
debates, are that dust... The others, which will come after us undoubtedly will
erase them!
